Our client, a Brooklyn-based non-profit with a mission to serve people living with HIV & AIDS, is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist. The role is temp-to-perm, but they are also open to direct hire. There is room for growth at this company, and they offer excellent benefits, including a hybrid work schedule of 2-3 days in-office, 2-3 days remote.

Due to the nature of the position, only candidates with 1-4 years of recruiting experience, or HR experience with significant recruiting responsibilities, will be considered.

Job Details

  • Lead the recruiting cycle from sourcing to offer stage
  • Utilize existing talent sources and research new sources
  • Maintain relationships with universities and participate in career fairs
  • Liaise with hiring managers to identify talent needs and create job descriptions
  • Use Applicant Tracking System to monitor and log candidate progress
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to create structured hiring processes
  • Ensure excellent candidate experience at every step
  • Generate detailed reports with hiring data for stakeholders
  • Target perm salary range: $50-65k, depending on experience

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferred major in Human Resources or similar
  • 1-4 years’ experience in talent acquisition or HR with significant recruiting responsibilities
  • Preferred background in non-profits or a similar field serving vulnerable populations
  • Must have experience using an Applicant Tracking System such as Paycom
  • Team player with top-notch verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior time management instincts, with proven ability to handle competing priorities
