A strategic communications firm with a reputation for developing brand-shaping strategies & valued counsel to the highest levels of corporations & thought leaders is looking for a Communications Strategy Director to lead their Tech & PR practice. This leader will direct, mentor & develop a strong team & oversee high-profile engagements for growth stage Tech & PR clients, with direct collaboration with C-level executives on engagements scoped for highly strategic work.
This Director will play a leading role in evolving the Tech & PR practice & have tremendous opportunities for growth. They will draw on a comfort in advising high-profile clients through complex business issues including transactions, executive transitions and crisis; developing internal/external narrative & shaping messaging in advance of company growth.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, lead & mentor team, managing a range of high-profile of account work
- Liaison with clients regarding strategic ambitions that are insight driven and align with new business development initiatives
- Identify & collaborate on opportunities to grow client engagements
- Advise clients through complex business issues including transactions, executive transitions and crisis situations
- Lead client meetings and strategy sessions
- Lead brainstorms and creative strategy planning for clients and internal projects
- Conduct media training sessions and media interviews
Requirements:
- 4-8 years business, PR and/or technology communications experience, with substantial exposure to advising C-level clients
- A dynamic approach to communications informed by a sophistication in media relations with business press to inform strategy for a wide range of situations
- Strong team leader & mentor
