A global law firm consistently ranked among the top firms in the world, is seeking a Graphic Designer Lead to join their dynamic team in either their New York or Los Angeles office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

About the role

As the Designer Lead, you will be an integral member of the Creative Services team within the firm’s global Brand & Communications Department. You will apply core design principles to complex, strategic projects ensuring all work is aligned to the firm's Brand and brand guidelines. This role is equally comfortable with responsive design (websites, email, social media, video/motion graphics) as they are for print.

 

Responsibilities include:

· Leading the extension and buildout of high-quality image asset libraries that appear in brand guidelines, and all Latham communications

· Initiating project kickoffs, collecting, and codifying critical details

· Create informed, impactful solutions, and articulating how the work answers the needs of the internal business partner

· Advising internal clients and other teams on how to leverage the brand guidelines, contributing to the guidelines, and developing templates and new brand asset styles

· Leading multiple projects, delivering on time and maintaining a high standard for presentation, quality, and attention to detail

· Facilitating the workflow and communication necessary to ensure deadlines are met from project inception to fruition

· Meeting with Graphic Designer Specialists to review, edit, and provide guidance for projects/presentations prior to sharing with the Art Director

· Leading discussions around expanding team’s skillsets, new processes, and best practices

· Staying abreast of firm priorities and developments, as well as news and current events relevant to the firm and legal industry, and trends in the design field

 

We’d love to hear from you if you:

· Exhibit advanced knowledge of common design programs including Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, Invision, Figma, and PowerPoint

· Demonstrate expert typography (kerning, leading, tracking), hierarchy, color application, grids, layout, and accessibility skills

· Have an eye for great photography

· A minimum of 4-7 years as a Senior Graphic Designer in a professional services professional services organization or agency

· Experience with Content Management and Digital Asset Management systems, as well as digital and social marketing, and web design
