Our client, a global Real Estate asset manager with over $600 billion in assets under management, and a 120-year history, is seeking a Catering Assistant. The position is based on site at their office in downtown Manhattan. Job Details

  • Take executives’ and guests’ food and beverage orders and serve them in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure that all pantries and beverage stations remain properly set up and stocked before and during service periods to meet high volume requirements
  • Set up and clear conference rooms
  • Coordinate catering for all internal meetings and staff lunches
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and sanitary kitchen (prep, storage, dishwash)
  • Place orders, receive product (food & supplies), and verify invoices for pricing, quantities received, and freshness
  • Salary: $50-60k annually, based on experience
  • Excellent benefits package includes health insurance and 401k

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience
  • Must be punctual and polished
  • Professional and friendly with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Must have a flexible attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
