Description

Our client, a financial services firm, is looking for a Bookkeeper specializing in small and midsize businesses. This position is fully on site and located in the Metro Detroit.

Job Details 

  • Month-end closing, financial reporting 
  • Reconciling bank and general ledgers and processing live or after the fact payroll 
  • Payroll duties, including filing the quarterly reports with all government agencies 
  • Preparation of tax returns if needed 
  • Tracking fixed assets and maintaining current depreciation schedule for clients 
  • Able to work independently with a minimal amount of oversight 
  • Salary: $60-70k annually, based on experience

Skills and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting, Finance, Business or similar major preferred 
  • 3-5 years' Bookkeeping experience 
  • Must have experience with QuickBooks  
  • Excellent numerical skills and proficient in Excel
