Their category insights, data and expert media strategy leads to their outstanding out of the box results. They are seeing an Associate Director, Connections Planning to join their team.

Connections Planning (also known as communications planning, engagement strategy, or platform strategy) is a strategic discipline, working as true “connectors” to bring everyone and everything closer together. They work closely with clients, creatives, media teams, and agency partners to define outcomes and outputs as well as provide stewardship over how, where and when strategies come to life.

Here’s what you should know if you want to be an Associate Director, Connections Planning:

On any given day you might

  • Break down high-level communications tasks into a framework or system that distills complex strategic challenges into actionable plans forward
  • Develop go-to-market and rollout strategies that bring campaigns to life across time and media, being able to from flex big-picture thinking to granular tactics
  • Concept social strategies from start to finish, being on the cutting edge of new social platform developments and ad formats
  • Develop both strategic and tactical briefs, and work directly with creative teams to bring the insights to life in media
  • Create culturally relevant connection ideas that strategically live in media environments
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients with your strategic findings and recommendations
  • Mentor junior team members and assist with their development and career progression
  • Research and analyze marketplace and media data
  • Educate clients and internal stakeholders on consumer engagement trends, including in social
  • Support new business pitches

The ideal person

  • ● Can lead projects from a connections perspective with minimal oversight
  • Can pivot seamlessly and effectively with strategic recommendations
  • Has an aptitude for developing and communicating creative ideas
  • Understands media, but does not need to have media planning and buying experience
  • Is an advertising, marketing and media enthusiast with a passion for pop culture
  • Can collaborate with people from different backgrounds, including creative, marketing sciences, media, and inter-agency teams
  • Knows how to convert analysis into real world actionable solutions

You bring

  • 7+ years-experience of connections planning, communications planning, engagement strategy, or platform strategy
  • A deep understanding of the social creator & influencer economy
