Our client, a venture capital based Startup Company in an up-and-coming industry, is searching for a Technical Writer in their New York City office. This company currently has over 30 operations in 11 cities with plans to expand in the near future. As the Technical Writer, your work will contribute to many aspects of the business including communications, marketing, and regulations. The ideal candidate must be dynamic and flexible to meet the needs of the fast-paced, constantly changing environment, and have the ability to efficiently meet the shifting priorities of the role.

Technical Writer Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain processes and documentation
  • Develop templates for several types of documents
  • Create operational SOPs, compliance and procedural checklists
  • Oversee property collection and maintain documents
  • Create and update training manuals for company processes
  • Organize materials for product lines and manage documentation of equipment

Technical Writer Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Prior experience working in product manufacturing or experience with Regulations
  • Experience translating technical information into compelling information for general public
  • Experience with creating promotional material
  • Excellent editorial skills
  • Strong knowledge of AP style
  • Knowledge of website management systems and best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Salary: $70-75k
