Gainor Staffing is representing a nonprofit organization who is searching for an Administrative Assistant to support their Communications Department in their New York City office. This organization has funded a substantial amount in research for multiple diseases that affect millions of people across the US, and is continuing its efforts to do so daily. In addition to their mission, they take pride in their collaborative work environment.

The Administrative Assistant will take part in the communications and marketing aspects of the company while simultaneously fulfilling their administrative responsibilities for the team. The ideal candidate must also be someone who has exceptional writing skills and experience with event planning. Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Assist with marketing and communications tasks and projects
  • Schedule meetings and manage calendars
  • Coordinate travel arrangements (flights, hotels, ground transportation)
  • Assist with event planning
  • Handle expense reports
  • Answer and screen phone calls
  • Help with program research and gathering data
  • Ad hoc duties for other staff members as needed

Administrative Assistant Qualifications:

  • 3 years of administrative assistant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Superb proven writing abilities
  •  Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • InDesign experience a plus

Salary: $55k
