Gainor Staffing’s client, a non-profit in Manhattan, is seeking to hire a Temporary Human Resources Benefits Generalist to join their team. In this role you will be the main point of contact for all inquiries related to employee benefits and general human resources administration. Ideal candidates for the role have a strong background in Human Resources and have a strong ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines.

Responsibilities include:

  • Utilize existing knowledge and conduct research to evaluate existing employee benefits with alternative agency plans
  • Assist with preparation and execution of benefits documentation
  • Develop and maintain affirmation action program
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all employee questions relating to benefits, HR/payroll, employment verification, leave of absence etc.
  • Oversee HR administration and payroll administration
  • Ensure data input and data integrity in the HRIS system

Requirements include:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field (HR, Business Administration, Business Management) required
  • Relevant Masters degree is highly preferred
  • 5+ Years of experience in Human Resources required
  • Previous experience working with non-profits or social-services is highly preferred
  • Strong communication and employee customer service skills required
  • Ability to mulit- task, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast paced work environment

Hourly: $28/hr- $32/hr based upon experience

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Salary: $28.00 to $32.00 /hour
